Finished Bioshock Infinite last night. Phenomenal game. Didn't like it as much at first, I LOVED the creepy atmosphere and setting in the first and the second Bioshock game, and this was a little too bright for my taste. My only real gripe with this game is the lack of difficulty even on hard mode. Aside from that everything else is great. Faith in the fps genre restored indeed, as I read somewhere.

Also kind of disappointed with the difficulty, that was my main problem with the previous games as well. It's an exciting game though, and although I'm not convinced that the shooter aspect is particularly well implemented, I think the actual shooting feels great. There's this feeling of impact when you hit an enemy, which is one of the most important things in an FPS.

Yeah, I agree with you on shooting segment. But what differs this game from your average fps is definitely the feeling of the whole game. And Bioshock Infinite is the perfect example of "greater than sum of its parts" game.

Finished Bioshock Infinite. Got incredibly tired of the game in the end but really wanted to see the ending since it was very hyped. I was not disappointed.

Just got platinum on Far Cry 3, now slogging through Assassins' Creed: Brotherhood. Havent played Bioshock Infinite yet, feel like I'm the only console gamer alive who hasn't.

I recommend this game to anyone who likes Metroid/Castlevania type games where you explore a massive map and collect items that allow you to progress. It's a rather old game (2005) but it has been rereleased with a bunch of new stuff. Personally, I just torrented the GOG version. Anyway, it's the best game I've played since Dark Souls came out and it's much like playing Symphony of the Night for the first time. Just with more puzzles. Check it out.

Interesting. Have you played Dust An Elysian Tale? It's also a "Metroidvania" style game that came out last year for XBL but recently came out on Steam. I've watched a few videos of it and it looks awesome.

So like, E3 started today. I've been ignoring it as best I can so I take it all in at once when I get home.

My prediction for E3: a bunch of new ways to watch television while sharing with your friends or something shitty like that. Lots of boring Kinect stuff. More useless achievement type things + social shit.

Some good games being shown. Although, if Sony have the same DRM as Microsoft am seriously considering not getting either PS4 or Xbone. Pretty disgusted with what I've seen of the latter so far, might just get a PS3 and catch up on exclusives. A lot depends on Sony... Also, £420 for the Xbone?! Fuck off.

I actually looked it up earlier when I was looking for more games like La-Mulana, the graphics really put me off though, and the combat mechanics. I'm not really a fan of the chain combos, looks very button-mashy, which gets old pretty quickly.

12 hours into La-Mulana. It's a masterpiece.

Casual gamers, the death of the video game industry.

Too bad David Hayter isn't coming back as Snake, but i guess Keifer will do a decent job. Also, loved the PS4 conference from Sony this year and this is coming from someone who mainly plays on Xbox...Color me impressed!

Battlefield 4 is looking to be good. Commander mode is back, bigger destruction, various types of naval vessels... It's looking to be the final nail in the Call of Duty coffin.
