Heh. I've been avoiding answering you until I have spent some more time with it...

The skating is definitely different. Will take some getting use to, but I wouldn't say it's broken. Although you'll definitely want the fastest skaters possible. The passing, although uses the same system, just feels weird. It may be because I change the settings around on the main game and you can't do that in the demo. Goalies are better and worse. Better in the fact that they make saves look cooler and they are harder to beat. But in the same breath, you have a fast skater with a god release you'll score top shelf 9 times out of 10. I think the game, once the sliders are tweaked and you are use to the skating, it'll be no different then last years. Menus are much different. I can't wait to try the new Be-A-GM mode. They have a new mode called NHL moments live where you can re-live some of the biggest moments from last season, and they'll update it with stuff from the upcoming season. Seems kinda cool.

All in all I'll be getting it day one.

Okay, thanks. A lot of getting used to, then. Hmm, fair enough. I don't tweak the sliders too much usually, I'll see. It's pre-ordered anyway, I'll get it a week after you (it's released on the 14th here, + 3-5 days of shipping because I import it from the UK, cheaper).

*sigh* Fucking consoles. A good thing xbox controllers work perfectly on Windows.

Definitely put the game speed down a bit. Passing should be tweaked, and I suck at lining up hits so I'll make the hitting a little easier. And I usually put the goalies as good as they can possibly be. I hate scoring or getting scored on by a shitty unrealistic goal. I know they happening real life, but it happens too much in these games. I scored a goal in the demo because I fucked up a pass, it bounced off the boards to Brodeurs feet and he guided it into the net.

All I'm saying is, if you tweak only one slider, boost the goaltending way the fuck up.

And now time for another game.

I'll try the goalies tweaking, although I don't like low score games so, it'll require some testing and fine tuning I guess. Cool

Another question for you, what about the soundtrack? Even though it was butchered for political correctness reasons, I liked the music in '12 a lot.

I usually play my own music, but I agree the 12 had some cool tunes. So far what I've heard in 13 is kinda weak. Electronic covers of "old" punk and radio rock songs, some shitty sing-a-long Offspring song, and I think that's it. They don't usually have the full track list in the demos.

Meh. Time to start making my own playlist then.

GTA V will be amazing. Any idea on a release date? Even just a hint?

I also played the Street Dogs demo. Pretty cool shit. Batman style combat with GTA and Saints Row style openness. But the streets just feel alive. It's actually quite cool. So much noise and chatter and people just doing stuff everywhere. Also the level up system seems pretty cool. Can't wait to get the actual game.

No one knows the exact release date. There is some speculation that May 2013 might be the date but again it's speculation.

As far as SD,it's a good open world game with martial arts. You'll like it if you liked the demo.

Rockstar has the habit to start issuing in-game screenshots 3 to 6 months before release, so that would make roughly somewhere between Christmas 2012 and June 2013. I'd put my money on March-April 2013.

Enjoying the typical MMO launch day problems with Guild Wars 2, got booted and now the login servers aren't responding. Got to play a good hour or two though, was quite fun. Very event-driven. Far Shiverpeaks is the server if anyone wants to join in :)

It feels like it's been a really long time since we've had a new GTA game, so I'm stoked for the new one.
