I think Mass Effect 3 is the best game I have ever played, and I have played a LOT of games. I can't remember ever having this much fun playing a game. The story is presented in such a great way, there's really a tangible sense of urgency in the reaper threat; war is going on all over the galaxy and there's constantly new stuff happening to keep you happy. The game makes you feel like you're in the moment. I just can't imagine a more perfect game.

Heh, you sound like the last-November-myself when Skyrim came out. Fucking nerd. :D

(thanks for the thoughts, will definitely play the trilogy next summer :dio:)

Following the the changes to Diablo 3 Beta is frustrating as hell and makes the future of gaming look very bleak. First of all, they've removed the skill tree in favor of a system where you can choose one offensive skill, one defensive skill and one passive skill, then you have a bunch of runes that you can link to these skills. A while ago these runes were things that you looted from bosses and stuff, but they decided to remove this aspect of the game because it was too complex. So they made the runes part of the skill system, so you wouldn't have to pick them up. They've also removed attributes from the game, actually, they've just removed the ability to change attributes... When you level up, you only get to choose a new skill, but no attributes. Apparently there's also the ability to respec your character whenever you want.

What drives me insane is the fact that whenever they release a new changelog they act as if everything in D2 was shit and had to be changed. Why do developers insist on removing everything that is great about their previous games? Bioware actually took a step in the right direction with ME3 because they finally ADDED stuff to the game rather than remove something. What makes me really sad about this is the fact that Blizzard is going to make a RIDICULOUS amount of money off of D3 because of the massive following it has plus all the retarded children who play anything that is cool at the moment.

Yet another reason why I won't be buying D3 anytime soon. Between that and the push towards an in-game Ebay of items, D2 nostalgics like myself should look forward more to other hack 'n' slashers on the horizon.

And yes, what ME3 has done with the added possibilities is fantastic. Feels like the ideal blend between the depth of ME1 and the streamlined ease of ME2.

Diablo 3 sounds awful, based on that desciption, and reminds me how simplistic DnD 4th Edition was in comparison to 3.5. Why would you remove customization from a game that was infinitely replayable (D2) because of it?

Three letters: DLC. Develop the entire game, then just before release cut out 50% of features, then release them afterwards at ten bucks a slice. Because hey, Bobby Kotick's champagne pool isn't going to fill itself.

Yeah, of course you're right. I'm not touching this game, but I doubt many will take my stance though.

Multiplayer in ME3 is actually way more fun than I had expected. I had initially only planned on getting 100% galactic readiness, but I kind of got hooked. I'm sure I'll get tired of it soon enough though, all the scenarios are basically the same.

You play it on PC too, right? We should try and hook up for some of that.

Yes, that'd be cool. You can add my username Animzor or my email Animzor@gmail.com.

Cool, so is it worth getting then? Are you gonna get the Silent Hill HD Collection? I'm looking forward to both of these releases.

Yeah, I think it is. The only flaw is clunky combat but then the combat has always been clunky. I really liked Homecoming too and not many others did so maybe I'm just a fanboy.

I will be getting the HD collection too, will be awesome to go through 2 and 3 again. I last played 2 like 6 years ago and 3 about 9 years ago, so I can't wait.

I have not done much gaming recently, but this article blew me away.

Apparently Sony is considering implementing a way to block users of the PS4 from playing used games. Check out the article for more info.

If people would stop stealing shit and downloading illegally then things like this wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, everybody is constantly downloading and streaming things they shouldn't and this is how the big companies fight back. I agree with it. If they don't start doing things like this then the game business, at the least the console business, will die. Look at Sega, they're fucked. Just laid off a whole bunch of people and cancelled several games.

Anywho, just started Deus Ex: Human Revolution yesterday. Good times.

I have to say I'm going to have trouble to play console games if they kill the market for used games. PC is OK because I mostly buy on Steam anyway, they often offer very good deals. I think we need a Steam-thing on consoles.

Dev's post made me think : when was the last time I illegally downloaded a game? I can't remember. I think it was Spore. Thank God I didn't buy this crap.

Currently having a blast with Minecraft. Actually bought two copies : for me and my nephew. Playing it online with him, lots of fun (after installing a decent textures pack).

Today it was finally time for me to sit down and start playing Mass Effect 3. Then I realized that I left my main Xbox controller at home over the weekend and my second one is nowhere to be found.

brb killing myself

Just read the upcoming Xbox will permanently need the internet in order to work. Sounds like Sony and Microsoft are colluding on the subject.

They all can go fuck themselves.
