Thank you kind sirs- today has indeed been a joyful commemoration of my time in the uterus and my eventual exodus.

The only reason I light fireworks on the fourth is to celebrate Brahm's birthday.

Filled with seaweed. I've had one once and it went down fine, but the subsequent rolls made me gag horribly. I quite like the nori on the outside of sushi, and it has the bonus of having a fuckload of iron in it.

Re:dentists
From the age of 2.5 up to the age of 13 I was a regular at the dentists'. I had a root canal and a tooth reconstruction and so much shit done it's not funny. My favourite memory is walking down to the other end of the dental hospital with my mouth wide open and 4 needles stuck in my tooth for an ultrasound. A couple of years back my face exploded with pain, and it turns out that the infection I had when I got my root canal is still in my face, and not much can be done about getting it out. Cold + stess = pain.

In Soviet Russia, tooth extracts you.

Well, I did have a milk tooth extracted at a public clinic that was one of the leftovers of the Soviet regime. The dentist was old and cruel. When my adult tooth showed up, it grew facing towards my throat as a result.

Mildly frustrated. Something is wrong with my cat's digestive processes, and it has been making for some exciting cleanup chores.

I've been unimaginably lucky when it comes to the dentist. Weak teeth run in my family, but I've only had cavities a few times, mostly as a young'un. I had to have braces, but was spared the headgear, mostly thanks to advances in orthodontic technology. My poor mother has had some absolutely hellish dental experiences, including a rotten tooth that had to be extracted, was extracted improperly, leaving a piece in her jawbone, which subsequently turned into an incurable bone infection. That was about ten years ago. I have a general distrust of the medical establishment because of all the medical stuff she's gone through, a good portion of it caused or made worse by the doctors themselves.

N: Am i throwin' you off?
Nope
N: Didn’t think so

How you doin’ young lady
That feelin’ that you givin' me really drives me crazy
You don’t have a player about the choke
I was at a loss of words first time that we spoke

N:If you looking for a girl that’ll treat you right
If you lookin’ for her in the day time with the light

You might be the type if I play my cards right
I'll find out by the end of the night

N: You expect me to just let you hit it
But will you still respect me if you get it

All I can do is try, gimme one chance
What’s the problem I don’t see no ring on your hand

I be the first to admit it, I’m curious about you, you seem so innocent

N: You wanna get in my world, get lost in it
Boy I’m tired of running, lets walk for a minute

Promiscuous girl
Wherever you are
I’m all alone
And it's you that I want

N: Promiscuous boy
You already know
That I’m all yours
What you waiting for?

Promiscuous girl
You're teasing me
You know what I want
And I got what you need

N: Promiscuous boy
Let's get to the point
Cause we're on a roll
Are you ready?

(LETS HAVE SEX. Actually, I'm impressed that they pulled out the thesauras and found an alternative to "slutty."

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone- t'was a good one, with lots of booze and pot and hash and a really shitty transformers movie.

actually, that nelly furtado song is pretty damn catchy.

oh oh and i'm going on holiday with my classmates tomorrow! we're going to Caldas da Rainha, west or northwest of Lisbon, for a week! we've rented a house and bought some hash. sadly they didn't want me to bring the gamecube along (seriously, people shut cut the "kid game" crap already and just play a game TO HAVE SOME FUCKING FUN!!), opting instead for a ps2 and the criminally overrated PES6.

anyway, the next week is going to rule!

There are many reasons a cat can be sick all of a sudden. Here are some q's

Does your cat have diarrhea or vomiting?
Have you changed the brand of cat food the cat is given or introduced new treats?
Does your cat eat dry food?
Is there fur in the vomit?

And finally, the very serious questions:
Is your cat regularly wormed? (If no, take the kitty to the vet).
Is your cat listless, loud, or acting like its in a lot of pain? (If yes, vet time).
Is your cat allowed outside? (Might have eaten something bad there).

I'm sorry if I sound like an egghead, I'm just bursting to the brim of my being with love for cats and to a lesser extent their owners. The cat probably doesn't like being sick, and kitty waste usually smells quite bad.

I was hungthe fuckover in work all day. This happened because I stayed out until 4am and got hideously drunk when I knew full well I just hadsta wake up at 8.15. Which I duly did. Then I shut my eyes for 30 seconds and suddenly whooooa what the fuck it was 8.50! 5 minutes after I start work! Which I didn't, because I was in my bed stinking of booze. So like then I got washed up and phoned a taxi and went to work. I put clothes on first. Yeah I felt crap all day, I couldn't even form words properly. Hmmm.

Then I came home and had a curry and now I'm ok but my teeth hurt.

bappy birthday hrahm! :dio:

so i bought a new book, right, and i just found out that i can return them to the store after i'm done with them.

i was just telling a friend of mine that i was going to the crapper, and that i would be bringing the book along with me because the Porcelain Throne is just such a nice place to read, imo (no, really). this made me think - i will be returning a book that i read in the crapper. some guy may buy it in the future.

which brings me to another thing - how many of my books have been used as bathroom literature by other people?

He's not really sick, his stool is just very loose, which means it gets caught in his butt fur and sometimes spread about the house. I'm not worried; his mom was the same way, especially later in her life, and he's getting up there in years as well. He's never allowed out (especially since there's been a squirrel with mange in the yard of late), and he's otherwise fine. He's loud, but he's been loud since he was a kitten, and he probably misses his mom (she passed away two years ago). Thanks for your concern, though; believe me, I understand the cat lover's mentality. Both he and his mom were rescue cases; we got them when their previous owners abandoned them.

srsly? do you know the name or the season of the episode? if so i can find it and watch it!

my friend just called me, his car didn't pass the inspection (co2 emissions are too high) and our trip will be delayed a few hours :/ with my luck it'll be more than a few hours and the car will only be ready on Saturday. fingers crossed!

EDIT - on the other hand, the guy who was going to lend us PES6 went back on his promise, so now we'll be able to play a game that doesn't suck.

EDIT 2 - the car won't be ready before 10pm. this just keeps getting better and better.

What the hell, the GC has one of the most fun games ever made, Super Smash Brothers! Oh, and Super Mario Kart.

i know, that's what i tried to tell them, but they won't even give the game a chance... kid game this, kid game that, bla bla bla...

PES6 is a hard game to learn and in a week the same 2 guys will still kick everyone's asses, while with, say, mario kart everyone would be in a similar skill level in less than an hour of play (more fun for everyone). but hey, their loss.

You should bring it anyway :P

PES6 can be insanely fun if you play with all your friends in one team in world cup or something similar. I love the game though, we have tournaments every other week ;)

I HAVE A STORY TO TELL.

So yesterday afternoon I was lying in bed, and since the album I was listening to ended I heard some birds chirping. I think there were two or three of them, anyways they had this cool rhythm thing going on and I thought "hey if that was metal that would make awesome tech death". So I looked into this idea and discovered the French composer Messiaen, who considered birds the best musicians and incorporated notated birdsong into a lot of his compositions. So then I continued my investigations and found that the math-rock band The Flying Luttenbachers had covered his song "L'Ascension", and that Don Caballero, The Fucking Champs and Blind Idiot God (all of those math-rock type bands) cite him as an influence.

So I was totally right about birdsong being tech as fuck.

in conclusion I think that story explains why I don't talk to people about my interests very often.

Tired as hell. I had a '7-a-side' soccer carnival today. We lased till the semi-final, but the team we then versed were like, uber fit, and we were like, uber fucking pooped, so we lost. :lame:
But overall it was fun. 7-a-side carnivals are always fun.

I think a lot of his compositions were mainly just transcriptions of birdsong. I'm not even sure if he "incorporated" it as such, so much as made pieces exclusively of birdsong. I think he's a big influence on people like Cage with all that "diminished responsibility of the composer" stuff. Something to be proud of...

Ahh OK. So far the only piece of his I've heard is Quartour Pour La Find Du Temps and I liked it a lot. Made me wish I hadn't quit playing clarinet
