I've been watching more TV lately. I used to never watch it but now I do a little bit--been watching Heroes and Arrested Development on DVD. Also Man vs. Wild sometimes...Bear Grylles is THE ultimate badass. No joke.

I should watch Battlestar Galactica.

Bear Grylls is a phony. He stays at Holiday Inns and eats blueberry pancakes.

Survivorman is so much better because Les Stroud actually stays out in the wild by himself and finds much more practical ways to live. He is the ultimate badass. He lives in, like a fucking cabin in the middle of nowhere somewhere in Canada.

I know. haha. But Les Stroud is just a fucking idiot if you think about how much energy he must waste lugging his camera equipment around and retracing his steps to go back and get the equipment. What they should do is have a show with just two guys out in the wild, with one that does primarily camera duties and the other hosting.

:) I am currently watching season 2 of Battlestar Galactica (over halfway through). Gets better, but seems like for every episode not up to par with the rest, it needs a couple to get back on track... Although I dig the doctor! :D

Cool. Battlestar Galactica is the best show on TV if you ask me. I just hate them for splitting the final season so we'll have to wait until 2009 to see the conclusion, which will be AWESOME. They're also making a bunch of BSG films that develop the story a bit. Like Razor, they supposedly take place a while back in the storyline.

Oh and they're creating a new series called Caprica. It's about two families, the Greystones and the Adamas, who you've probably heard of, and how the Cylons came to be. I think it looks really, really good. But then I'm really into dramas.

Hmm, sounds cool.

Heroes: i dunno... a few episodes into season 2 it starts getting a bit stupid, with some really dumb powers (namely that hispanic chick's crying thing and micah's cousin's power).

Yeah i agree... have just watched 5 episodes of the second season and it seems not nearly as good as the first one.

This doesn't sound too good since I'm waiting for Season 2 on DVD... Didn't see it on TV. And isn't there just 11 episodes in season 2?

Yeah, Heroes is not going to change your life but it is an extremely entertaining show. Every episode is like the season finale of any other show.

I object. It got boring after Hiro got his sword, any moments without Sylar and/or that jailbait cheerleader in at least.

Yeah, I didn't watch the whole second season--I watched the first season but stopped because my schedule interfered with when the show was on. I just started watching it again this season and my brother filled in all the gaps, and now it's really pretty damn good.

Any fans of Prison Break here? :) I think it's a damn good show, and one of my favourites. Season one was definetely the best and most awesome. Season two was good and season three was almost on par with the first. Haven't seen anything on season four yet... Is it as good as previously, or are all the ideas running dry?
:D

i love the first 3 seasons of Prison Break (also in the order you described). i've only seen the 1st episode of the new season, doesn't look that much fun.

imo it had 2 components that really made it fun:
- the sense of urgency in every episode, especially in seasons 1 and 3.
- the company

they are outside now and so the sense of urgency is a bit lost now, while the company is mostly unravelled at this point...

It's kind of ridiculous. Watched s1 ep 1, and laughed lots when he got into the prison despite no-one noticing that he had the plans tattooed on himself. I mean, come on. Might give it another go eventually, but I have a lot of other shows to get into - still only halfway through X Files s1, Rome s1 etc

Yeah, I agree. The show is most definetely at its most intense when they are behind bars! (although, I think in season 4 some of the main characters are still in prison, If I remember the end of season 3 correctly).

Rome is great. But Ceasar dies (ZOMG SPOILER) too early. I don't know what they do in the second season. Couldn't be bothered watching.
