about latest Game of Thrones episode so spoilers
loved it, but i thought Bolton's line was Jaime Lannister sends his regards, which i think sounded badass. walder frey appropriately sleazy and douchey, but they could have made the "bread and salt" thing a bit more explicit. in the books i'm pretty sure a suspicious Catelyn tells Robb to make sure to have his bread and salt. just how sacred a vow walder frey broke should be made clear.

good fighting bit with the guys fighting in Yunkai. Jorah speaking like the other guy had died or something was silly, he clearly knew he hadn't, an exasperated tone or something would have been better.

Just watched it. Twas good. Wish I had been completely caught off-guard by it and not had it spoiled prior to viewing.

I hate when the season finale of a show is also one of the worst episodes of the season

case and point the season finale of Supernatural...all that build up and they finish the season with a whole episode of nothing happening? seriously disappointed but not surprised.

Also very disappointed with the season finale of Doctor Who. It wasn't so much a bad episode more just a bad way to finish the season off.

Re-started The Wire. (Didn't finish it last time) about 5 episodes in. Still awesome. I love the scene when McNutty brings Bubs to his kids soccer game. And when Bunk and McNulty go through the apartment saying nothing either than fuck or mother fucker.

Because I don't want to be the negative guy all the time, plus I haven't been careful enough about spoilers either.

Hope everyone liked it.

awesome episode, as good as it could be, considering what happened in the previous one. Tywin dominates every scene he's in, what a legend. Joffrey also excellent as a world-class douche.

and now for the wait... :lame:

Yes, the Tywin and Joffrey scene was hilarious.

Really liked Liam Cunningham as Davos as well.

yeah, Tywin really looked intimidating after Joffrey opened his stupid mouth.

Weird to have a finale where not much at all happened. Decent, but not great. Tywin is solid, but Tyrion always impresses me more.

I think this season was slower that it should have been. But yeah, next season they have a lot of great material to choose from. It will be harder to make it slow, especially since the latest report from Martin said he wants the series to finish in seven seasons. Now I think book 4 could be covered in about four episodes, so it is possible. On the other hand, I just think he says this stuff to try and get himself motivated to finally finish book 6.

Isn't there a 7th book after number 6? I thought I read that somewhere.

Yes sir. Book 7 is tentatively titled "A Dream of Spring" after "Winds of Winter": book 6's title. He has been posting sample chapters of book 6 on his website periodically.

Martin also hasn't ruled out a book 8 as sort of an epilogue to wrap the whole story up, but I would expect book 7 is where the big ending happens.
