it was ok. it didn't hook me but the premise is very cool imo. also, i didn't remember keri russell looking so hot.

Very good question. I'd never want to be traveling on a road in this world; it always seems like someone is around to try to rob, capture, rape, or kill anyone that is.

I thought you had read the books? I thought he was captured by Stark's men, but that seems too random and if the guy from the castle is telling the truth then is sister is helping him? Color me confused. Kinda hoped he was a goner.

@The Americans: Interesting premise, but from what I've seen after, before and around TUF and Justified, it doesn't interest me. And yeah Keri Russell got hot.

I'm only on the 3rd book abou halfway through. The show is catching up to me, but there's nothing about Theon that I'm reading. Apparently it's from the 5th book. Anybody confirm that?

Theon meets that guy in book 3 but it's in book 5 that you get a close look at their relationship.

btw this escape/pursuit/rescue thing isn't in the books.

i like how they are mixing it up, keeps people who're read it all excited too!

as for The Americans, i never saw TUF and Justified... i'll try to catch another 2-3 episodes, see where they go with this. really dig the premise. btw, it was inspired by this too - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegals_program interesting read, although i was disappointed at how much more amateurish the whole operation was IRL

Halfway the first season of Downton Abbey. This stuff is a whole bunch of sentimental tosh, and yet I can't stop watching.

It is insanely addictive. And quite good, really, despite being sentimental; sympathetic characters, intricate plotting, clever writing. Plus it has Maggie Smith, who can steal a scene with a lifted eyebrow...

And didn't Darth Vader's lightsaber go down the chute when his hand was sliced off. And female parts are a little underwritten when you give the boot to Black Widow and Leia and don't mention any female X-Men! Slave 1 is a horrible ship to enter into a firefight, not nearly as graceful as X-Wings or pull off what the Millennium Falcon can.

I just liked the idea of Chewy as a robot.

Oh and at azrael regarding GoT and theories, sorry I've been shy on responding out of spoiler risk for the others, but I'm wary of that theory on the show diverging from the book: I hope it doesn't go that far in that direction.

Creating characters like Ros and having her and her friends get in all these fancy positions for us viewers is one thing, but seriously changing key points in the plot feels unnecessary.
