Does hotmail even give a shit? Dammit, I really can't stand hotmail. They make it really easy for the degenerates of the world (see Billy Carr) to get their word out. The only answer seems to be not letting them bother you, and simply ignoring them. Although that e-mail address wasn't in our database, someone could have easily gone over there and created that account for the sole purpose of starting trouble. No paper trail left behind.....

Just block his e-mail address. Hotmail has to have spam blocker.
