I don't have long hair and I don't wear scary shirts, so no. But I have been called both satanist and fascist because of things I said. Not that I really am either but my philosophy is quite harsh and might seem bizarre to people who can't help but to judge statements from the perspective of whether they are politically correct or not and have minimal capabilities of abstraction. I have some leanings that might seem unpleasant to the average individual I guess.

I have been called a communist on several occations, which is probably closer to the truth.

Social stigmatization when it comes to metal music and subculture is pretty minimal (bordering nonexistent) around here (Denmark).

Been called a goat-worshipper, which was funny, and this morning was called a trainspotter.

Being a communist didn't go well in high school. I argued more over that than any "evil" symbol on my shirts. My mom has called me evil before. Some christian conservative guys in my latin class were kind of afraid of me with my evil band shirts and liberal political views but I'm good friends with them now despite wearing a shirt that says "christians to the lions". I'm likable enough that people ignore what's on my shirts or just recognize that it is me being "different" so they don't really bother me.

I have been called a Devil worshipper and a hippie, but on extremely rare occassions. I can remember only two.

Hey, at least satanists have personal hygiene.

not really, but ppl have told me that they thought I was a satanist back when I had long hair... while others thought I was a hippie or a crazy left-wing anarchist.

The other day I was told by my neighbour that I would surely turn to christ/God if my country was attacked by terrorist.... and that annoyed me a whole fucking lot for many reasons.. more than being considered a satanist or anarchist...

I'm sic and tired of ppl's lame prejudices and overly bad judgement of my personality

I don't look very metal, but I'm always being accused for listening to Satan's music as they call it here...

I got suspended from school for wearing a Sodom shirt. At first my principal said "Who is Sodumb?"

I have Megadeth patch on my jeans jacket, and when I came in school in it all the ppl in school went to me like this "aaaaw death is spelled wrong on your jacket! you're as stupid as your music because they spelled it wrong and you're so stupid to wear something with word spelled the wrong way"

I few years ago, when I told my Philosophy professor that I liked heavy metal, he jokingly said, "Ohhh, so you're a devil worshipper." I was probably a little more defensive then than I should have been.

To be fair, I got called a Nazi because of some harsh racial abuse, but it was in the context of a heated argument and I was angry, therefore abusive.

How'd that turn out? You're a member of Lavey's church, right?

Not a member yet. I participate over at a pseudo-official message board one of the Magisters runs and a good amount of Higher ups participate at. I've been posting there for over 7 years and have not been banned as any non-satanist would be eventually. Sooner or later someone will expose themselves as being a fraud, a kook or somehow a time-wasting non-contributor. I like that board a great deal. With all the pseudo-satanic non-sense on the internet it is nice to have a place to chat with other Satanists where any one else is basically not welcome.

I plan on actually becoming a member in the short term future simply because I will be able to afford it in a couple months and its due time. I think after around seven or eight years of being an indentified Satanist with no reservations or second thought, its time to pony up the two hundred and get in on some of the insider info.

 Spending money for sacred secrets? How the fuck does anyone who is cynical about organized religion, as a satanist and heavy metal fan would most likely be, fall for that?
