Find one dish that is passable and you're set.

Feeling like my life is a bit of a confusing mess because I have no idea what I want with respect to a career or romance (I have a feeling not getting too worked up and waiting will help with these two though), and I've prayed a couple times with my next door friends and I'm thinking of going to church tomorrow? idk odd times.

You are studying philosophy? I think studying philosophy is yet another thing that people do these days to kill time. I hate living in this age.

I have mixed feelings about that. imo studying it gets you a lot of useful professional and life skills (it might be a little strong to say that if everyone took an intro to philosophy and critical thinking course it'd make the world a better place but I think it's somewhat true) and as far as ways to kill time go, it's far from the worst. And I went to Canada's supreme court last year and it was two hours of philosophy debate over the nature of a civil action lawsuit.

Sometimes it feels like a waste of time though.

This. Everyone should do it, because the world could use some people asking questions more rather than simply taking what is given. Plus, it's another form of academic/scholarly pursuit and if you think that stuff is worthless, well, I can't help you. Basically, philosophy informs policy, especially in burgeoning fields like genetic modification, incorporation of previously excluded groups into civil law, the legal statuses of copyrights, etc.

I eat really healthy these days, but everything requires effort in terms of cooking and sometimes I simply don't eat rather than put the effort into it. I need simple meals to make for myself when my girlfriend isn't here basically. Everything we buy is for two folks.

i don't mind cooking when i have company, but living alone like in Brazil i can't be bothered. for dinner i often just have whole carrots, cucumbers, bananas, avocados and other stuff that requires minimal peeling/cooking/cleaning efforts. it's healthy and you don't waste any time with it.

lunch is typically in a really nice restaurant near the office so i do get a real meal every day.

Cooking on your own sucks because it either takes up way too much time or else you're eating the same thing for four nights. I eat a lot of fruit + yogurt, sandwiches, and raw veggies.

I'm feeling excited for tomorrow 'cause all I'm gonna do is read Tristram Shandy and play guitar. Warm and fuzzy thoughts too because despite being thousands of miles away from home I still had three Thanksgiving dinners to go to :-)

Although a follow up to this is that I do think that cooking something awesome and listening to lovely music is one of the better possible ways you can spend an evening.

Feeling like there's a black cloud forever hanging over my head and honestly I don't know what I'd do if it ever cleared.

went to London (ENGLAND) for the weekend. had a great time.

considering how icky most English food is seems to be, the quality of foreign food in London is just unbelievable. weather was shit, of course.

i very much like how Europe has so many beautiful, historical, diverse cities that are just a few hours away from each other.
