Bummer: breaking my clarinet

Anti-bummer: buying a new one at the pawn shop for 100$ and discovering the broken one was even shittier than I thought it was.

Looking at spending 1500$ on my next flute :( Instruments are too expensive.

Especially concert band instruments! The clarinet I bought is basically an intermediary until I feel like dropping 500+ on a nice one made of actual wood. My girlfriend is studying music and I saw an ad in the school for a used flute that was 8300$ D:

yep instruments tend to be expensive, especially when having the instrument isn't enough, when you need an amp to play it through, need to replace the strings on a fairly regular basis and then start adding in extras like effects units...

Trying to finish writing a review, but the new Nails album leaked and once that hits my WMP it isn't going to be turned off. I'm so fucked. Have to crank out this bit.

You've brought up your ham smelling farts in the past, nobody cares. Ham is disgusting.

Girlfriend and parents are away. (Holland and Mexico, respectively.) Got called in to work early tomorrow morning so instead of leaving the house and socializing I'm going to practice clarinet and listen to Bizet's Carmen. I love being alone so so much. I should probably get a job where I can afford living without roommates, as a goal for the future.

maybe because i don't know anyone here, i'd much rather live with roommates. when you get along well it can be a very good experience - i loved my time with the roomies in Mexico.

btw Mexico is awesome, whatever she's doing and wherever she's going, she'll love it.

I believe his parents are going to México, not his gf. Hope they enjoy their time here, it's a wonderful place despite our problems with druglords.

Exactly, what city in México are they visiting?

I'm with noodles about living alone. Nothing beats the peace of solitude.

when i was there i visited real de catorce, zacarecas, guanajuato, morelia, patzcuaro, mexico city, guadalajara, puerto vallarta, san blas, mazatlan, la paz and cabo san lucas, besides monterrey where i was based. loved everything... and sadly didn't have time to visit chiapas and oaxaca. definitely going back there.

It's Puerto Vallarta. Puerta means door, puerto means port. Great place, and pretty safe too. Quite the cultural city for a beach.

ah dude no way! it was pretty cool. very nice city, great food. had awesome tacos at some place by the aqueduct and mind-blowing gazpacho in what i think was the main square. also sopa tarasca, so much sopa tarasca. day trip to patzcuaro was a blast.

:) I'm glad you had a nice time here in Michoacán. Be sure to come back here if you ever return to México.
