wow, fucked up story! didn't get why the guy took you to work though.

São Paulo was awesome. it's absolutely massive and just had a good, fast-paced feel to it. it's quite modern and from a lot of it seems built up fairly recently.

Carnaval was cool. sunday we went to the street, i got wasted and got separated from my friends. lost my phone to boot. stumbled home drunk and knocked on every apartment's door at 5am until i found our place. neighbours were surprisingly understanding. sunday we went to a different street, in the older Vila Madalena part, and followed a "bloco" (in our case, a group of random drummers apparently conducted by a man in a dress) as it paraded around the streets, thousands of people, cheap beer, loud drumming, really cool.

didn't score lol. everyone was scoring though. btw girls in São Paulo were gorgeous, but apparently the "gold mine" is the southern states and Rio.

I cut off my hair (which was reaching almost down to my ass) that took 7 years to grow.

Shaved it clean off. Down to a number 1.

Didn't touch my facial hair, I'm still wearing a full, long beard. Its an interesting look.

Before and After pictures to follow in the Faces thread when I get home from work.

Down to a 1!? Damn, 'gina. Any particular reason why or did you just get the itch?

Yeah, I dunno. I'd been talking about it for a while, a couple months maybe, but it started as a joke.

Someone mentioned if I shaved my head and kept the beard I would look like a psycho. We laughed and I said I would do it, and they were like "yeah, sure, I dare you".

So I mentioned it once or twice since then, still joking around though. But the more I thought about it, the more it felt like time for a change. I was really attached to my hair, so I didn't think I'd actually do it. But 7 years is such a long time for one look.

I hadn't really spoken or thought about it for a couple of weeks and then out of nowhere it just hit me yesterday. I'm doing this. Can't explain why exactly.

Went out, bought the clippers, did the deed.

I can never grow my hair out, when I try it goes through a phase of being really curly and stupid looking and I always get impatient and cut it

love having nothing to do during the week, means I can have a couple drinks and watch the cricket tonight, and the AFL NAB Cup is so close I can taste it, I've missed my football so much

That's always the way it is for me. I'm trying to let my hair grow out, at that awkward phase where it curls on the back of my neck, but the rest of it is still too short for it to be anything but boring white dude hair. There have been several times where I've had to quell the urge to just buzz it all.

I don't enjoy dealing with mopey people that I don't necessarily have to deal with.

if people are going to be miserable they should do it alone and not bum out everyone around them

Depends.

If they're in a bad way, sometimes it's cool to just let a person get shit off their chest and be a friendly ear for them.

But if they're the sort of person that day in, day out can never be happy about anything no matter how they look at it, then yeah, they should keep to themselves. That shit pisses me off.

that's what I was getting at, I fucking hate those miserable fuckers whose sole purpose for social interaction is to try and make everyone around them feel as miserable as possible, had that recently in Queensland, at a theme park having a great time, line up for (in my opinion) the best rollercoaster in the park and I hear this guy complaining about literally everything about the park, the ride, the food and just my luck I get stuck next to the guy who just looked at his feet the entire ride, then resumed complaining again when he got off

Pfft.

Pre-season is not real footy. Not since they introduced the retarded mini-game round robin bullshit.

Wake me up in a month.

yeah it's not real footy but I don't care, the cricket this summer was pretty mediocre and I get to see my team run out Sunday for the first time since that draw in the last round last year, really hoping to hear the Power song more then five times after a game this year

Bummer: breaking my clarinet

Anti-bummer: buying a new one at the pawn shop for 100$ and discovering the broken one was even shittier than I thought it was.

minor hangover resulting from the consumption of somewhere between twelve and seventeen bottles of beer last night, sadly there were no interesting antics, just good conversation with friends
