I loathe learning music theory, I know I have to learn it but still three consecutive guitar lessons on theory, having my guitar ready to play and not actually playing it, I hate that, but I've decided what the next song I learn will be

Rolling Stones - Paint It Black

I think a doom cover of that song would work BRILLIANTLY

devote it to memory through repitition, sitting through three consecutive lessons learning this stuff, I hate it but I need to do it

This website has a bunch of info in well done + free lessons
http://www.musictheory.net/lessons

I find my interest wanes about learning music theory though because it's hard to apply what I learn to music I know/care about, and in the abstract it's not particularly interesting.

I've had a pretty damn good day so far, went out to lunch with a few old school mates, had a good time, weather has been pleasant, yep today's been good

Gettin a Christmas tree today. A family friend in the neighbourhood has a plantation. Love the smell of a fresh tree. :wub:

My family's Jewish and I love Christmas. Going to spend it with the girlfriend's family this year, so will get a proper tree and all. But apparently they don't like mince pies! :sad:

not the overt commercialism where one's affection for their family is gauged by the number and expense of the gifts exchanged with those around them, I enjoy spending the day with the family, and the almost inevitable and excessive consumption of alcohol it entails though

Update on my ailment: I've gotten some kickass medicine which seem to work great and it no longer feels like i'm pissing barbwire...Hallelujah, thank God for penicillin! :lol:
