Just that I don't care much about the whole farce.
Fuck politics.

Why not?
Just because someone makes a statement, it has to turn into some kind of long debate?
Fuck that and fuck politics.

But what whole farce?, is the question.

99% of what trade unions do is not about "politics" at all, but about getting a better deal for their members from their employers. The actual two-party establishment is barely of any relevance to that at all. We are, indeed, talking about everyday life for a lot of people.

(BTW talking about the way Govt. and Big Business screws over ordinary working people puts you dangerously close to being a fellow leftist, in my eyes  )

Olberman wins.
When Matt Lauer owns you, you must be way off base. The divorce and playboy comments by Olbermann made me giggle out loud.

Henry Rollins says it best about Ann Coulter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iM7MR5_v47w

Henry Rollins is a douchebag; always was.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_3g4QPojMc

He couldn't even intimidate a little kid, despite his efforts.
His whole hard-edge schtick always smacked of total effort to me.
And his "letters" are a joke.
I thought that was a really funny video. I'm sure the kid didn't deserve that but after however long on the road, dealing with the fans that they had to deal with (the kind that try to fight with you), I'm sure you're a little fed up. If you watch the entire 10 min. video, he calls the kid out for being a scene-y, trendy douchebag. I think his "letters" are supposed to be jokes.

Agree.

The right cries about how it is too expensive to pay American workers a "decent" salary (while CEO's rake in millions, of course, regardless of performance), hence, the massive outsourcing of said jobs... The only one getting the shaft is the American worker.
Agree.

our so-called "public servants" have the best, on our tax dollar, why can't the rest of us?
Agree.

The left / right illusion is a trick... whilst the narcotized cattle that walk around this country with their eyes and ears seeing and hearing only that which they wish to see and hear, bickering about things that will never be resolved under the current two-party system (or outright red herrings such as "gay marriage" Roe v. Wade etc.), the whores of the Potomac laugh their asses all the way to the bank.
Agree. You add capitalists to the whore of the Potomac lot and it is the exact synopsis to a book I just read. Yeah, V, I basically agree with everything you say minus the evilness of unions, yet I can empathize with what you mean about them being subject to corruption and indulgence, ex: the $40 an hour floor sweepers in Ford plants. You're a slimy, dirty leftist, V.

I hear your cynicism V, but you can't let the assholes grind ya down. Politics for me is what goes on beneath the bullshit as well. And yeah, V, you're more left than me.

There is politics and there is politics. Proper lefties, IMO, should inhabit the one that exists below the sphere of competing parties etc.

As Tony Benn said, he retired from his career in parliament so that he could have...

Not giving you the brush off, just have no desire whatsoever to talk politics; I vented, slightly. That was enough for me.

Much rather talk about horror movies, old and new, and old vs. new... hell I'd rather talk movies, in general.
Politics, man, they are a wedge, and politicians have mastered the art of using that wedge to divide and conquer. I don't know what the story is in the U.K., but the American people have been played for saps in a way that would make P.T. Barnum blush with embarassment.
I do get what you say when you say "There is politics and there is politics", but, none for me thanks.

This is how we'll win their hearts and minds, with TV series, fashion, Miley Cyrus and iPods. Not bombs and threats.

Or rising them out of poverty but Hannah Montana might work?

Yeah, because Communism + Asia does not equal rotfl. Capitalist mind-drone stuff will erode radical Islam far more than that.

Interesting read, if you got the time (tick tick ticking in your head) all about Ayn Rand and how terrible she was at life, the universe and everything.

Fixing the middle east equals fixing their infrastructure and stopping kids from joining the Mahdi Army in order to have food on their table. Leftism doesn't have to equal communism. Just getting people out of fucking poverty would be good enough for me; the equality and utopia dreams can come later.

The Ayn Rand link didn't work for me. I don't think I need it to tell me how big of a fail she is at everything, mainly writing succinctly.

Apart from that, but more like "critical thinking is awesome and people able to do their research are godlike."
