I had this same thing happen at the beginning of my relationship. You'd be surprised how many dudes are fuckheads to women. They go around under the assumption that girls are only attracted to total douches for some reason. Chances are, she's just never been with a guy who's just being himself instead of putting on some macho facade.

Yeah. I think it's part of her insecurities and doubts that really makes her wonder am I really going to be this nice to her until whenever we're together or not. I have said that it's never ending.

My mood is split in two because I talked to the grantscrafter at my school and he said my application wasn't very good and there isn't enough time to make it better. That bummed me out because it consumed a lot of my free time for the last two or three weeks, and he made it sound like I'd hardly accomplished anything. But after hearing his criticisms I don't think I'm as far off as he thinks I am. I can't accomodate all of the points he made in two days but I can do something passable. And I learned a bunch writing my first grant application, doing research, and having two teachers pick apart something I wrote. Lots of the material will carry over to letters of intent I can write to MA programs, too.

It's pretty much over now though and today I'm working my seventh shift in eight days but then I have time off.

Feeling rather ugly. I had cracked a front tooth three weeks ago and I have surgery scheduled for Monday to pull it and get my temporary prosthetic. Well, eating nachos at the bar and I totally fucked my tooth and just came home and pulled it myself. It still goes up into gum, like the base of the tooth, but in terms of where it cracked, it is completely gone. So feeling rather ugly missing my front tooth with a bit of enamel sticking out of the gum. Gnarly fucking mawl now.

I've been there and done that myself. I had the front upper four teeth pulled since I banged a mic into them a few too many times and it was over with. It was easier to get rid of four teeth than to replace two of them and at about 1/16th of the cost of just replacing the two.

Yep, one of those teeth was my infamous self administered but successful root canal involving a safety pin, a wound guitar string and a lighter!

Surely things could be worse.

Oh well, it's temporary dude. Don't worry. Very appropriate for Halloween at least, I would have thought.

Anyway, sitting at work waiting for my next client. Been reading motor/neurophysiology all day. Kind of boring as I've gone through all this before, but my physiology exam is coming up. Can't wait for next year which will only feature nutrition-related subjects.

I was talking about this two or three weeks ago (maybe in this thread I'm not sure) but basically after a few years of abusing junk food and doing no exercise I put on about 20 kilos of unnecessary weight. So my friend is a personal trainer and he convinced me to start training with him a few times a week (for a very good price).

Once I got into it, I started taking it much more seriously and changed my diet too. Nothing drastic, just sensible eating. For lunch I just have like a small chicken and salad sandwich. Maybe sometimes a small pasta. For dinner, nothing but lean meat and vegetables, no carbs at night. For the meat it's chicken or lean beef. Controlling portions and not eating junk is all I'm doing really. I've been at it about 8 weeks now, and I've lost 10 kilos.

So yeah, the diet's not too bad. But I was used to eating burgers and fries and shit every day so when somebody says "nachos" my brain goes slightly haywire. Now that I've lost 10 kilos, I'm going to let myself have some junk every couple of weeks just so I don't go insane. I won't over do it though because I don't want to undo my hard work.

what is a good price? I just met a guy who is a personal trainer and was kinda tempted to ask him to help me hit the gym. I never really learned anything besides running and basic dumbbell exercises.

Your teeth do not affect your speech or phonation trapt. I highly recommend trying not to work around your teeth. Just talk naturally and do not worry what you sound like. This is not permanent you say, but even if it is, you will slowly compensate for it on your own, you do not need to put any conscious effort into trying to say a vowel or consonant differently. It will happen on it's own, it just takes time.

i want to openly apolagize to EBD. i have already talked with him but wanted to make it known to the community that sometimes i react without thinking and im a asshole peroidically. im sorry.

I think that applies to a lot of us, myself certainly included. Lets move on: I'll be back in a few weeks, hopefully with something productive for the community.
