One is a big enough cramp on my doing awesome stuff time, don't know how mormons do it.

They don't. Mormons are a myth.

@Thomas: wow, you're 23 only. Happy birthday!

Ohhhhh, happy beerday would be nice, but it's more like happy write-a-paper-day for me. My father made me steak and baked potato so I'm happy tbh!

@Olivier: Hah, how old did you think I were? :P

Around Zad's age actually, 26-27 IIRC. I don't know, in my mind you're in the "mature dudes who are younger than me" category, so I hadn't thought you'd be "only" 23.
But that's silly, I know a 19-year old young woman IRL who is by far more adult than I am, so...

My great grandmother died. At 101 years old! That's a feat! Anyway, not giving it much thought tbh (shoot me), no particular contact with her the last 6-7 years.

Happy Birthday my good man! Don't feel too bad about Grandma, I wasn't very close to mine when she passed away. It happens. Hope all is improving with your mom as well. Hang in there and enjoy your birthday sir :)

Yeah, I'm only 27 myself. I guess we are the only smart people at our age. Everyone my age I meet is just ignorant as hell. WTF? Plus you guys are in Europe. I don't how that's relevant, but yeah. If you wanna blame the schools that might be it. I spent all my time doing what I wanted unless what we doing was interesting.

I'm looking forward to getting back to work next week. A new class of 7 special needs gentlemen between 3rd and 5th grade. As for today...another feckin' headache.

And yeah, Happy Birthday Thomas. I was very close to my Great Grandmother when I was young because we have the same birthday. I do not think her consciousness is any longer on Earth, though she is still alive. :-(

Been chilling in Philly for the last few days. Kinda hate this town. And was hoping to hang out with ebd but no time for it. Or money. Ugh. I'm ready for school to start.

What are you doing your doctorate in?
Cultural Studies. It'll basically be a degree in Marxism. I want to write my dissertation on metal. I present a paper at my university's annual conference in a few weeks on Adorno's aesthetics and Panopticon.
