Quitting smoking is a fucking hassle, alternating between ultra-lights and little cigars that aren't being inhaled seems to be working. It's day three and yesterday I only had 4 ultra-lights, but today I'm going to smoke regularly with the UL's since it will feel like I am smoking heavily. The good news is that the UL will have about a quarter of the nicotine, so with very little effort, 75% of the nicotine simply disappeared from my life.
yeah quitting sucks ass >.> ive tried allot of times myself. Just gotta go cold turkey, after the pack i have atm im doing that.
Every time I try that I feel like quitting is too easy so I should just go buy another pack and quit worrying about it. I am not prone to addiction, but the habit of smoking is just not worth it to my voice anymore. I can do whatever I want with it as a smoker which is why I started. It's like learning to fight with extra weights on your arms and legs. Singing is too easy the few times I've stayed away from smoking long enough to find out and it opens up a few more tonal options that I simply sound terrible as a smoker doing.
Good luck to you though. Try the little cigars, you'll notice you clearly aren't getting your regular fix but they satisfy the need to taste the aroma of a cig and they take the raw nerves feeling down drastically. But again, I have a different goal for quitting. I used to be so broke that I would buy a black n mild and inhale those and noticed a huge improvement even with that, so the smoke is just too thick to do the damage regualr smokes do, IMO.
