The last really really good Ritchie film. A bunch of wicked characters, cool dialogs and some really memorable scenes makes this an awesome movie. Though not as good as his first two.
Was Revolver Guy Ritchie or just simply a Statham flick?

I'd say Ritchie. It's true that Statham, being already famous then unlike when he starred in LS&2SM, got much more room than usual. Which is a bit odd when you look at most of Ritchie's films. Good movie, not excellent, with that rapper from Outkast being the weakest link here. WHY him of all good actors out there?
I don't think Andre 3000 is that bad of an actor. I think Revolver's failings really relied on its goofiness. It was alright, but it wasn't a twist a la a heist, but some weird psychoanalytic drivel about releasing the ego. It was fawking stupid.

He wasn't extremely awful but totally unbelievable as a genius mastermind behind all. And yes that ego crap was, well, crappy.

The original True Grit was on earlier, John Wayne. Watched it while baking. Good stuff.

Haha! Almond cupcakes. Simple stuff, but fun to do.

Awesome movie. I like both the original and the remake. I would even put remake slightly above the original. Main reason, Jeff "The Dude" Bridges, I could watch him just babbling about for three hours, while The Duke was just being The Duke like in most of his movies.

I decided to watch Revolver again. Didn't know there were two versions out there ( U.S. and the original - British one ). I chose the original this time.
It's one mindfuck of a movie, although some things are clearer in this, superior version. I consider this to be a really good movie, always had, but it's clear why so many people dislike it.
Not on par with Ritchie's "gangster trilogy" though.

I think he's best known as Dangle from Reno 911. Great show, btw.

finally, do you have any idea how long i've waited for someone besides myself to say how awesome Reno 911 is?

anyway watched The Matrix today, now THAT movie really fucks with my head, I always get all spacey after watching it, seem to get hung up on the whole what if this moment isn't real but simply a means of control idea

How I Met Your Mother is so terrible.

Reno 911 is alright in small doses.

How I met your mother is pretty bad, agreed, but as far as generic laugh track bullshit goes, I'd watch it over two and a half men or the big bang theory, two shows whose popularity bewilder me. Anyway I know that's not saying much, but there it is.

Reno 911 really grows on you. I wasn't into it at the beginning but I watched a lot of it because a friend of mine liked it, and once you get to know all the characters well, it's really great. I rate it pretty highly now.

watched The Matrix last night, one of my favourite movies ever but every time I watch it is a massive mindfuck, ALWAYS, start thinking along the general premise of the movie that reality is not in fact reality but a means of controlling the populace
