Elfen Lied is pretty darn cool

I haven't been "in" to anime for a few years now, but some old favorites are Princess Mononoke, Berserk (metal as hell!), Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, some Gundam shows that used to be on cartoon network (but not Gundam Wing!), and of course Dragonball Z. I am fully aware that DBZ is not, how do you say, "good," but it still provides me with entertainment, even if it is largely rooted in nostalgia. The Escaflowne movie was cool but the last time I watched it a couple years ago the story was more painfully cliche than I had remembered. Which brings me to my problem with anime, in that lots of it appears to be bad. I think perhaps I need to watch more anime shows as opposed to movies, where there is the potential to have greater plot development, because anime movies seem to rely on generic plot devices a lot. But this, combined with the fact that I'm lazy and have other stuff to do, makes it so I don't watch a whole lot of anime anymore.

Haha!If he thinks thats bad,I've seen real life japnese chics playing and inserting live octopi into certain intimate places.When they managed to peel the suction cups off the girls parts there were deep red rings all over and her squeels were crazy.After a while the lesbians started really enjoying it,but god damn.To each there own,some love hentai,hell I used to play imported hentai games.Good times and cool stories.

Anime wise my friends sis and I used to be pretty big on it,but lately have fallen out of it bigtime.There is alot of bad anime out there,and reviews are so unreliable.I love Cowboy Bebop and Tenjho Tenge is my favorite,Trigun is alright,but we always hated Vash and his christian ideals,knives FTFW!Outlaw Star is alright and so on.I own a shitload of anime,most is average,but some are fun.Excell Saga is funny,and FLCL & especially Magical Shopping Arcade Abinobashi(their other project) were good.Viper GTS and others make for great workout anime lol.Its just a shame how spotty and inconsistant it is the majority of the time.Record of Lodoss War should be stellar,but are poorly animated,dull and often boring while Luis the Runesoldier is promising but ultimately ends up so samey and typical whiney cast with no character growth.The only Shonen manga and anime I like is Yu Yu Hokisho.But the rest is so absurd these days,I must just be getting older.The only thing i still keep up with are my favorite Japanese artists,mainly hentai ones.The stories are often well written and funny.Granted I'm also not looking at the same ones everybody else is......I'm a sick kinky bastard.

Haha pretty much man.I know some otaku girls into it,not hot either.They get all pissy over their favorite animes.I'll go against the grain and state that Evangelion never did anything for me.Most anime is overrated imho,its like you're either with or against the crowd.You MUST prove you're Otaku material by claiming devout love and affection for (insert name brand here).Sucks.
