Its good...certainly better than the last one which i didnt like. I just hope they would go back to their roots for the next one.

What, their black metal roots? Don't count on it.

I prefer Ulver as an electronic (?) band, anyways. This album (along with Blood Inside) knock the shit out of their first three.

I am gonna listen to it once I finish amnesiac.

I love Perdition City, never really got into Blood Inside that much though.

lol @ Ulver going back to black metal, only Garm is still in the band from that line-up and I think he's said he's not too interseted in metla anymore.

That being said, it would be cool if they brought some folk back into their music. DOesn't seem likely though :(

I of course wouldn't mind another BM album from Ulver, but the direction they took after Nattens Madrigal was just a new level of music, a shift that was very hard to make but done tremendously. Ulver's brilliant.

I've always wondered why they stopped making black metal. It's never discussed in interviews. Another black metal release from them now wouldn't feel right, to be honest. They've moved on from 1997. That just made me realize Nattens Madrigal is 10 years old. Wow.

I don't think they would be happy with the restrictiveness of black metal, anyways. That might be the reason for the demise of their old sound, now that I think about it.

I really need to spend more time with this album, listened once and it bored the proverbial fuck out of me.
