This should be an interesting poll indeed. Is Nobuo Uematsu (famed composer for the Final Fantasy series, as well as several other Squaresoft RPG's) a hit or a miss?

Not really into the FF games, or RPGs in general for that matter, but the music is awesome.

Are you kidding me, total and utter hit all the way. In FFVIII, that "love theme" or whatever that you hear on the Ragnarok spaceship among other places nearly had me in tears. Beginning of FFVI is pretty much unbeatable too.

anywho. Total hit! There's a lot of kick-ass songs in FF6, FF7, FF8, FF9. I once had all the OST on my computer. Damn, great music. The music was one the the most important aspects of the old FF-series, i believe. Without it wouldn't have been nearly as strong an experience to play.

He also did some of the music for Chrono Trigger. Doesn't matter which songs it was, cuz CT had lots of cool music - lots of mystical atmosphere.

I'd say he is, or at least was, the greatest music composer in the game industry. He still compose music, but some say it's getting too generic, but i wouldn't know, haven't heard it.

I can confirm that it is a direct hit. His music is some of the most epic and touching music i have ever heard. I have been playing Blue Dragon for a while now and very FF'ish which is a good thing and so far its been very enjoyable. Nobuo Uematsu did the music for it btw. Have you heard the Boss theme Eternity with Ian Gillian? Its very funny

Bringing up an old thread, I just thought I'd ask one question: Am I the only person in the world who actually prefered the main version of Celes's theme in FF3/6 (the one with the bells supplying her main theme) over the Opera version with that cheesy "singing"?

BTW, the one "Miss" rating was by me under the Nu-Metal Nigga screen name. I had a typically stupid post written under that name "explaining" the Miss rating, but I deleted it a few minutes after posting it.
