Being a fan of Aenima (though I never really got into Undertow for some reason), I bought this on Half.com this morning. It should be in hopefully by next Saturday.

So, what is everybody's opinion of it? How does it compare to Aenima?

I it. The first half is kinda slow but Parabola, Lateralus, Disposition, Reflection and Triad are all pwnageee

Very good album. Blows 10,000 Days away.

I just got this a couple of days ago, and have only listened to it a few times. I've gotten a very good first impression though, it sounds more fresh and more energic than 10,000 days, which had a few highlights but got worse towards the end. Lateralus seems to be great all the way through though, and songs like The Grudge and Schism is probably the best Tool songs I've heard thus far.


Now I just have to get Aenima too

It's definitely better than Aenima. Actually, I still think it's their best album.

+1 i also like undertow better than aenima, Prision Sex kicks some seriuos ass.

This is easily in my basket of 5 albums I would take to a desert island. For full effect listen to it in HD on Windows Media Player (or anything else that can play HDCDs) Far better sound, especially on the guitar.

Really good album. Though after so many years of listening to it (6 by now I think or 5) I have become abit bored with it. I really wanted 10,000 Days to be something special and reignite my interest in this band, but no, it had to suck and make me actually less interested than I was before.

Last time I was interested in Tool, Undertow and Aenima got alot more play than Lateralus. Ive noticed alot of people dont really like Undertow and I say nuts to them, the first half of that album is awesome the last half is good but is killed abit by Disgustipated.

Thanks for all the feedback. The album came in just today and I'm going to listen to it probably in the car tomorrow morning on my way to work.

This is my favorite Tool album by far. I bought Lateralus awhile ago, and then I got like four other Tool CD's from a friend but Lateralus is the only one I ever got into.
