Any thoughts on this album? I think it is awesome. I've always love their stuff, but this is a totally different direction from Be, and I love it. Much heavier and pissed off than before, while still retaining that eclectic crazy magic that made me love them in the firs place.

This album is horrible. I didn't like the so-called masterpiece Be, either; I thought that was terrible, too. This one, while it may be heavier overall, has no identity whatsoever, and the songs just aren't very good at all. And the rapcore song is pure comedy.

i lol'd

I still need to listen to Remedy Lane more because my friend considers it some sort of amazingly beautiful masterpiece and I think he'll kill me soon if I don't hear it.

I think he like cried when Scarsick came out.

yeah ill admit that that rappy track is stupid, but on the whole i just think that the album really shows their ability to play whatever they want, WELL. Sure I'd kill for another remedy lane, but i can appreciate what glidnow is doing, as a musician one cannot write the same shite over and over again. That is merely a waste of creativity. I have enough faith in the man to trust him musically. maybe for your tastes he shouldve produced another album purely consisting of rehashed metal/jazz fusion riffs.

I listened to the Perfect Element and i wasn't amazed at all. Many are saying that this new one is way worse, so i do not know if i'll ever check it out. Ill retry the PE though.

I've only heard Be and Scarsick. I find both to be horrible.

I have not heard the new album yet, but i hear its not so good. I have come to love all of their other albums, including BE and count PoS as one of my favorite bands. Since I havent heard the new album I dont have anything too useful to say except that Ken, judging by what I have seen of your tastes, you should really check out the first two albums. They are different from what they have been doing. They are truly spectacular in a prog rock/metal experimental way. They just fucking own. Check out the songs, "Stress" "Nightmist" "People Passing By" and "!Forward." Tghese songs arent artsy, they are just straight up good. If you contact me I can even send them to you since I dont know how to post them here. I can make you a mix tape and then maybe we can date.

anyone i think that has only heard the last 2 albums or so (which have realy been strange quite frankly) should check out not only their older stuff, but most importantly 12:5 which is , fuck the genre, just unbelievable music in my opinion. That was the album that made me stop and take notice, before that it was all pretty good, but listening to that album made me stop and say hey these fuckers have talent.
