Sounds huge. I like it, and I definitely want to hear more to make a better judgment.

A 5-track rough mix sampler was sent out a while ago. The songs are killer. I've always said that Killswitch were one of the best metalcore bands out there.

Jesse was a better vocalist, though.

It does sound pretty epic, although it's probably not enough to convert me to this band. It's ok though.

Nah, if you didn't like them before nothing will change this time around.

Killswitch were the ones who started it as a trend man (although obviously they werent the first)

And yeah, Jesse was a much better vocalist.

Edit: Listening to the song, im a little disappointed it doesnt sound more like the Alive or Just Breathing Stuff, but i guess i shouldnt have hoped for that. Sounds pretty much like the last album, which was great anyway, so :dio:

Still uninteresting, and despite the fact that the vocalist can clearly sing, he has to insist on using the same melody all the damn time. "The liiiiiies!" you know what I'm talking about. His screamed vocals are as crappy as ever.

Oh lookit, a stop-start part. Sorry, I was thinking some of this was ok, but it just completely lost me at that part.

Definitely one of the better metalcore bands out there. "Rose of Sharyn" was one of the first songs I liked with harsh vocals--might have been the first. This song is pretty cool...

I've never heard anything from Jesse, but I don't think the guy they have now is bad by any means.

He wasn't a singer when he joined the band, he just screamed. He had to learn to sing cleanly, which tells me there's some studio magic going on here. Even live you can tell there some processing going on.

Yeah--now that you point it out I notice it. He's still a pretty good screamer, though.

I kinda enjoy the new songs. Sound 'darker', somehow.

They are. Heavier, too, and not as melodic even though there is clean singing. Not sure if I like it better or not.

Anyways, if the rest of the album is like that too, it's gonna confuse the haters big time. :)

It leaked today.

(That sounds almost like a metalcore band).
