I think theres some bands that, even if it is part of another genre, has a lot of the stuff that metalheads look for in their music in it as well.

I think it's just a matter of what you're used to, and getting into another genre requires some effort. It's just a coincidence that most people here are into metal, they could have just as well be into *insert genre here*. What is a certainty is that they would have been into an non-mainstream genre either way, but which that would be is just a matter of influences from outside (your brother, a friend, a magazine, etc.). Being close-minded means that you stick to what you once chose or grew into, open-mindedness implies that are not afraid of other genres or getting into them. Selling out is starting to listen to Franz Ferdianand, Kathy ;)

I'm open-minded and sometimes an elitist but I like easier musics too... Does that make me a sell-out ? I don't think so... NP Red Hot Chili Peppers "Stadium Arcadium" (sell-out music?)
