Post subject:  New Music Download: Stuck Mojo

This is a stretch, I know. If anyone likes Stuck Mojo, Rich Ward has posted two rough mix demos from their upcoming new album. They were one of the original rap metal bands, though they never got any recognition for any of it. They incorporated rap and death metal vocals, metal and rock, Testament's Chuck Billy guested on a song, Devin Townsend produced their second album and the result was heavier and more industrialized. The band is one of the best bands to ever incorporate rap into metal and rock, and they put on a killer live show! Too bad they never got the recognition that bands like Rage Against The Machine got. They deserved it more.

Rich Ward, of course, is also the man behind Fozzy. Anyway, you can go to Rich's MySpace page and listen to the new demos if you're interested. They've added some Lynyrd Skynyrd-like southern flavor to one song, similar to "Southern Pride" from Rising. Good stuff. I can't wait for the finished product, Rich Ward is one of the most underrated musicians out there today. If you don't like your metal with rap...IGNORE.

SOUTHERN BORN KILLERS and I'M BACK (two songs)

RATM were a second rate Downset. They ripped of their entire style all the way down to the "Yay-Ya" and the repeated one word/line choruses. The only thing RATM had that Downset didn't have is the weird noises and noodling that Morello did.

Downset is the real RATM.

Yes, it was actually pretty much Downset before they changed the name. They were more punk, but they still had that Downset sound. There are even some Downset songs done back then.
