I've heard quite a bit about this band, and I need suggestions.

So help me out here. Which albums should I get?

I'd go with Agaetis Byrjun

I'm kind of interested in this band too. Had "Tak" for ages but didn't hear it yet.

Ágætis Byrjun, definitely. The song Staralfur is simply amazing.

Great post-rock indeed, check out Godspeed You! Black Emperor as well!

Cool. You should, but remember to be patient with a band like this. I get something out of all Sigur Ros albums, but I come back to Ágætis Byrjun most often. And Misha's suggestion for those interested in post-rock is a wise one. GYBE is another good band in that style.

My favorite band (I think). Start with Ágætis Byrjun and work yourself forward from there.
