Interesting band. A good place to start? I know they've just put out a "Best Of", but I hate them......

they just released a best of indeed and that is a good place to start because it'll show you how different this band can be from his early post-Jacques Brel industrial sound (up 'til L'Eau Rouge, my fav'), to a Kurt Weill cover album (The Young Gods Play Kurt Weill great too, my second fav') to a easier industrial rocking sound (Tv Sky, 3rd fav') to their more recent ambient projects...

there's a lot of good music to catch in this band's career... :D

I saw them on their TV Sky Tour and they were just GREAT !

I know they've changed a lot, like Killing Joke, but I just hate Best Of's. I'd prefer to get the full album, even if some of the songs aren't so good, rather than have someone else's idea of what the best songs are, then after what's the point of getting the album?

Thanks and sorry for taking a while to respond. I was distracted by Jesus' pubic hair...

yeah

I knew you were gay enough to be distrated by Messiah's pubic hair !

once again, as much as you dislike greatest hits album I think it's the best place to start, just to check what era of the band's music you favour

otherwise go with a live album... I own Live Sky Tour, it's good and covers both the post-brel & easier indus periods...

Messiah Marcolin's quite sexy as well...

And Live Albums are greatest hits...done live! I think I could make an exception in YG's case.

I take it this is the "Best Of" we're talking about:

How many albums have they released, more or less?
