Now, I like A Perfect Murder, they have that old school thrashy, metal-tinged hardcore thing going on (no, not metalcore, this is stil hardcore). Anyway, I haven't picked up the new album, but just saw their video and for a second I thought Phil Anselmo joined the band! I mean, not only does this dude all of a sudden sound like Phil, but I'm catching bits and pieces that sound like clips from Pantera songs! It's weird. Go here: http://www.aperfectmurdermusic.com and listen to the song streaming and tell me that doesn't sound like some serious Pantera thievery! |

yeah, I've heard quite a few of their songs, and the similarity to Pantera is amazing! It's amazing how many bands these days try to rip off all Dimebag's riffs and imitate the Far Beyond Driven album. I wonder when the flood of metalcore will stop, or will it be eternal, because so many people see the genre as 'underground'? |
