I just saw these guys live, absolutly amazing. I was right up front and got to scream some sic ass lines when lead singer Guy, gave me the mic. Idk if theres a thread up about them, im to lazy to check. But heres what i have to say. Clients was a let down for me, and whats weird about that is, that i bought Clients before i bought there earlier realease Fused Together In Revolving Doors. FTIRD is a perfect album, that alot to say, but it is, if Clients received an 85 on Metal Reviews than i can only imagine what FTIRD would get, i would really like someone elses opinion on FTIRD, or just The Red Chord in general

http://www.purevolume.com/theredchord , check out Dreaming In Dog years, its a beautiful song

Personally, I can't stand the Red Chord. Admittedly, I don't like much hardcore-influenced stuff in general, but the Red Chord really gets on my nerves. It's too discordant, it doesn't flow even the way grindcore or brutal death metal does. I saw 'em live at the New England Metalfest this year, and I hated 'em.

So are The Black Eyed Peas, but that doesn't mean I have to like 'em.

TRC are ok, better than the metalcore masses (which isn't much of a compliment), but I don't like them that much. There are far better 'tr00' grind bands out there.

lol list some of these 1337 tr00 grind bands, i really want to hear some crazy stuff. but i like the red chord cause they blended Death Metal with Hardcore (hardcore kids hate metal heads, and vice versa) so hardcore kids call them metal, metal heads call them hardcore (metalcore) and people like me could care less, and just like the band for what they are. Personaly i hate giving bands genres, but i guess the only way for people to hate bands is to hate the band and any other band that sounds like them, so i guess specifying the genre that the band is in, then saying that the band sucks kills eveything with no chance of a comeback.

Anything listed in the "Good Grind Bands" thread, really. Early Carcass would be my personal recommendation.

I like it when music is jarring and discordant and doesn't flow. The Red Chord are nothing ultra-awesome-groundbreaking, but they have some really great tunes, and some good musicianship as well. Really, I like them for being chaotic and discordant.

Then again, I also listen to Wolf Eyes.

Maybe I'm a sonic masochist, or something.
