Any fans? Got 'Psalm 69' the other day, and it's pretty good.

Ministry's pretty good. 'Psalm 69' is a pretty good album, but like lizardtail said, I've liked KMFDM better.

They only have three or four albums worth buying... Land of Rape and Honey, Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Psalm 69, and the new one is okay.

I'm a fan.

WARNING:

Don't buy anything that came out before Land of Rape and Honey!! Unless you like homoerotic dance music, of course.

I like Ministry a lot better than KMFDM. KMFDM's mix of buttrock and homoerotic electronica just doesn't do it for me.

Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Psalm 69 and Houses of the Móle are good albums, The Mind... being my favourite.
The older stuff is cheesy 80's synthpop. I recommend staying the fuck away from it.

Actually, yes, House Of The Mole is actually a pretty damn good album.

Industrial rock. The newer stuff is more metally.

While KMFDM and Ministry are both industrial, they are in different segments of the industrial world... it's like comparing power metal to death metal: they're both metal, and they share some elements, but they are distinctly different styles. KMFDM are a much more "poppy" industrial, where Ministry are more aggro/ metal (at least the newer stuff is). Having said that, I really like them both...

For Ministry, Psalm 69 is probably their best album. I liked Houses of the Mole quite a bit, The Land of Rape and Honey was very good, and I also really really liked Filth Pig (personally it's my favorite album of theirs, though I've never heard anyone say anything good about it.) If you like old Electric Hellfire Club, or old Front 242, than check out Ministry's early stuff... it's very synth-poppy, but it's cool if you want to get into early industrial (Download "Every Day is Halloween" by Ministry to hear what eyesore was talking about- it's straight up homo-erotic dance music. I think it's a cool song, but it's definately not metal in any way) You can also check out the side projects Jurgenson did- The Revolting Cocks and 1000 Homo DJs. Homo-eroticism is sort of a theme....

It's good to see there are a few Industrial fans on the boards...

Awesome. We may be the only two, but that's still cool. I really like "The Fall"... that song really made the album for me.
