I love my copy of Heartwork dearly, and though I think gore lyrics are a little silly, I want to explore the early days of Carcass a bit. What's the best album to start with of their early work? |

try Symphonies of Sickness but don't except anything near as good as heartwork... still one of the most interesting "classic" grind album ever... |

The sound is different. Production is very raw with none of the melodic or groove-ish properties of Heartwork. It's still probably some of the best grindcore released though. |

Necroticism-Descanting the Insalubrious is their best in my opinion. |

Just get them all. Between their first 2, i'd go for Reek Of Putrefaction. CARBONIZED EYE SOCKETS !! You'll like Necroticism alot if you're into DM Swansong is a great album too, cool riffs. I prefer it over Heartwork. |

I picked up Necrotism this weekend, and I like it a lot. Thanks for all your advice, everyone. |
