This band are very cool, and to be recommended to anyone interested in the whole jazz/metal fusion thing. This band are up and coming on the british jazz scene, and the saxophonist graduated a few years ago from the very same college from which I am now about to graduate. http://www.acousticladyland.com/ They began doing jazz versions of Hendrix songs (hence the name), but now do a wider variety of stuff I think. Admittedly the fusion here is between jazz and punk rather than metal, but it's still worth listening too if you're eclectic. There are only a few short mp3 samples, but they give a good impression of what the band is about. Listen to "Iggy" and "high heel blues". :twisted: |

this is not bad...  I don't know what you think but, judging on the clips, I'd say those guys are closer to Soft Machine than to any jazz punk outfit I heard.... sure there a a few "big guitars" but that didn't fool me ! 
honestly, it's the kind of album I would only download... but, who knows, maybe after a few spins I'd change my mind... :roll: anyway, thanks for the info and may you keep posting interesting stuff such as this...
