Well, if you were educated you would know that they have never been nu metal and they now just make really shitty heavy metal, not metalcore. Unlike metalcore bands they can actually write heavy metal riffs albeit that they are sucky riffs.

The breakdown intro was the best part of the song, Heafy's vocals suck and the rest of the song is as generic as they've always been. Shitty band is a shitty band.

The breakdown felt kind of off as the start of the song, so then I was kind of disappointed that they then repeated it two more times.

Listening to the song right now and I can't say I hate it. Pretty good standard metal track to be honest. He has a good singing voice.

I like Matt Heafy's voice. He isn't amazing, but his screams and singing and gruffer vocals are all good enough to get the job done. Like if the song is great, then he sounds great, and if the song is just OK, he sounds just OK. Lyrics make me lol my eyes sometimes though.

ah the ever vocal Trivium haters....
The new song isn't bad on any level and their last album, Shogun, was awesome. I'll definitely check out their new release when it comes out.
Trivium have a tendency to release an OK song as their first song, so I won't be judging on a complete album be hearing the first thing they put out for the public to hear.
