Well that's definitely more...atmospheric, and I like that synthesizer thing going on at the end, but the beat is a lot weaker compared to Death Grips. Less aggressive too. |

Ghostface Killah! He's angry! And good at rapping! MF Doom! Ghosface Killah's work with MF Doom! Dr. Octagon! Del the Funkee Homosapien! A Tribe Called Quest! They like smoking pot and women, but not guns! Phi Life Cypher ("I pull the ground from beneath your feet and leave you sky-walking like Anakin")! Aesop Rock! Nas (at least Illmatic)! The Roots are all analog, which should appeal to those who don't like sampling. There's lots of awesome rap, guys. And don't we already have a rap thread, entitled "Rap Thread?" |

I'd much rather listen to New Jack Swing. As for Rap I don't mind hearing the shit they played on MTV back in 1992, when honestly the A&R would not stand for being off-key, having no melodic instruments or generally being unappealing to people with pop sensibilities. They had synthesizers and catchy choruses back then, which I don't hear today. I hear rap has been trying very hard to incorporate melody in recent years with mixed results, but the whole genre has been such a nuisance, I'd rather not bother. |
