Post subject:  Best hardcore album

Since the metalcore topic directly underneath this topic, has quite the substantial amount of albums and lists. If you're into hardcore whether old school or new school, which album from either style of the music or band do you find to fully represent the music? What merits do you find are lost in the Older style of the music, that newer bands should pick up on?

I am not a fan of this type of music at all, but I was not irritated very much by "The first four years" by Black Flag or the cro-mags first album.

Black Flag is a mandatory mention for any fan, and I adore both schools of the music. Though I find myself listening to Merauder, Ringworm, and Sick of it all a lot more than anything like Black Flag

Strife's One Truth, in my opinion, is a perfect hardcore album.

Hell, the first sixty or so albums Victory Records put out were fucking killer.

Black Flag My War. Others would make a list which needs time.

I can't do albums at this point but Orchid, pageninetynine, Trapped Under Ice's Stay Cold (classic but good ignorant hardcore), umm some other stuff. This is a work in progress.

I'd go with Sick of It All's Blood Sweat & No Tears or Agnostic Front's One Voice.
Those albums would have deserved a better production but the material is ace!

I'd take a Rollins Band album (Weight of the End of Silence preferably) over any BF album anyday.
Ever heard any of those PTron?

I've heard Weight. I thought it was ok, though the song Liar is pretty awesome.

Bad Brains self titled.
Is a classic in my eyes.

Fugazi, even though their last couple CD's wouldn't be classified as anything really close to hardcore anymore, I still liked them.

I like Rollins Band but at times it's just too cheesy for me.

Yeah I love it, although it got me exploring dub more than it did 80s hardcore.

Dr. Know are an early 80s hardcore band from Oxnard that eventually ventured into crossover territory.
The album Plug In Jesus is top notch.

Raw Power are a fairly unknown mid-80s Italian hardcore band.

They're pretty good.

Interesting no-one's said Refused - SOPTC. Yeah, I know Noodles hates it and is useless, but it's a great album.

Discharge - HNSNSN would probably be my pick.
