Post subject: | What Are Some Of The Better Nu-Metal Bands? |
Since nobody has ever posted a topic like this before, leave it to me to post it. Who does everybody here feel are among the better nu-metal bands out there? I'd go with System Of A Down and perhaps Soulfly (even though that tribal metal thing has really worn dry). |

Yes System of a Down is probably the best. Slipknot's latest album isn't that bad either, easily my surprise of 2004. Their other albums sucks horribly though.. |

Deftones are probably the best of the bunch, although they're quickly turning into alt-rock anyway. Candiria are pretty interesting for about half of their CDs, and then they start rapping. :\ When they're not rapping, they play weird stop start jazz/nu-metal/hardcore stuff which is actually quite catchy. It's a pretty shallow genre, mind you. ![]() |

Static-X released one good album, Wisconsin Death Trip. Slipknot's new album is good. Couldn't care less 'bout everyone else. |

Because negro translates directly to black from Norwegian. By the way, if you're looking for good mallcore in what's generally considered as such, go with System of a Down. They don't have any real rap influences, and sound to me more like pure modern metal (hint:not mallcore/nu metal) with Armenian, Arabic, and Judeic scales and influences mixed in. Though, B.Y.O.B.(latest single) sucks badly. |

Turbonegro can be rock n' roll in fact I don't know anything about rock n' roll but I've heard them considered nu metal before. And Emokid did you hear slipknot's latest album? It's not that bad. |
