Are they the ones that were going to be the next big thing afrer one sonf and then even all the magazines that had been pimping them relentlessly listened to their album and went "....oh....that's a bit shit" ? |

Yeah, they were supposed be the "the next big thing" a few years back when the self-titled came out. Not sure "pretty heavy" is a term I'd use to describe them, though. Decent band. A lot like Franz Ferdinand, who I fucking love...for some reason, but less catchy. A little bit of Living Things (a totally brilliant band) can be heard, too. |

Well, to me they sound like the Killers, but with a much darker take on the songwriting, hence my classifying them as "pretty heavy"- as far as the genre goes, they are. I'll need to check out that self-titled and... What Franz Ferdinand do you recommend? I never got farther than the self-titled. |

I recommend all three. But I'd start with either the debut self-titled or Tonight: Franz Ferdinand. You Could Have It So Much Better is my least favorite, though it's still good. |
