Pretty good. It's heavier than Threads of Life, but it's no The War Within. The vocals that were on War Within are back plus alot of melodic singing. It comes out tomorrow. I'll be picking this up.

I have it and I think it's just alright. Honestly I thought Threads of Life was a great album and that they had a solid sound going. This one is just kinda up in the air, I miss the groovier moments and breakdowns, this just kinda sounds speed up a little bit like the latest weak ass As I Lay Dying.

I know they don't get a lot of respect among hardcore metal fans but there's quite a few Shadows Fall albums I like quite a bit, particularly Threads of Life. They're generally pretty enjoyable and none of their albums completely suck IMO.

The melodic singing kills this band. They don't need it. But the mainstream machine is running the show. Sad, really.

I actually prefer speed. I like groove when done right. I don't want to listen to breakdown after breakdown throughout a song. I get bored quick. A groove that plods is not cool. I don't mind the melodic singing. Sure they sound like modern commercial metal but there are enough solos, screams, and thrashing to satisfy me.
