yay or nay? Huge yay for me... there's something sinister lurking in those pop songs and love ballads, plus Helter Skelter and Revolution 9 are fucking br00tal considering when they came out. |

I'm getting closer every day to listening to those albums, just so I can see where they stack up against my favorite albums. I voted yay simply because they were master pop song writers. I don't believe pop music really started making great great music until the 80's really, but along with motown, these guys really were great songwriters. It's funny that one group probably has more hits and great song than motown itself, and other than that music was pretty much shit until the very late 60's with the emergence of zeppelin, purple, sabbath, yes, ect. There was some good stuff in the 50's, but the beatles were the best group from the 60's bar none. That's why they get respect from me. |

I don't like the pop stuff but everything else is amazing. Love songs, beatnik songs are all are great. |

Hell yeah. I got a chance to listen to a friend's copy of Revolver, and it was awesome. I was never too crazy about them, but I've discovered somewhat recently just how awesome of a band they were. |
