I realise this is getting old, but I'm looking for some music recommendations. I've basically stopped listening to metal because most of my favourite bands have disappointed me in the last few years (Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Into Eternity, Zero Hour, Dream Theater, Ayreon.) The stuff that I still listen to is basically Devin Townsend, Nevermore, The Mars Volta and Converge. If you guys could recommend a few albums that I'd like based on those four bands, that'd be great. |

Wow, thanks guys. The only thing I've actually heard here is The August Engine, which is cool as fuck, as is The Locust Years. I got my hands on The Painter's Palette and it's sounding like my style of music, although it feels kind of disjointed at the moment, but I'm sure I'll love it. |
