Man, I can't find Husker's thread... I remember he created it some time ago and followed some of his suggestions...
I checked out

Immortal Techniques
Jedi Mind Tricks (OMG!!)
Wu-Tang Clan
Madlib
Mfdoom
Ghostkillah

And i really regret to have discovered this so late.

I am a big fan of the early Wu-Tang albums, Method Man, Cypress Hill, Cage, GZA, RZA, D12s first album, and older Eminem.

Oh yeah, Canibus is a great lyricsist as well. His best album is Rip The Jacker and then Mic Club: The Curriculum comes a close 2nd. Great battle rapper.

I used to think he was really cool, and I still think he's an above average rapper, but reading his lyrics, it just sounds like a bunch of bullshit that doesn't make any sense...too many symbols, analogies, metaphors, whatever...whatever he's trying to say is just lost with all of the crazy stuff.

Anyways, Immortal Technique is pretty much the only rapper that I find to be decent. And while I respect the older stuff like NWA, Public Enemy, etc., I find it to be generally annoying as hell....

That's just what I love about his lyrics. They're so dense, you never get the same thing on different listens.
