Coheed And Cambria-Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Vol. 1: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness

It satisfies my slightly girly music fix. This is probably their weakest album actually, despite it being their most popular by miles.

Really? I think it's certainly better than II and IV vol. 2, and maybe better than III.

Anyways, I've got this stuck in my head...

"if you could see where we've been...
you've touched the hand that's touchin sin"

+1 on Mars Volta for album of the year

I dunno, Good Apollo I feels too long. Maybe I'd like it more if they'd released The Willing Well as a separate EP, it feels quite different from the rest of the album. Still has some of their best songs ever though.

Ilyena rules the proverbial school. Bit of a shame the album of the year came right at the beginning of it. I dunno, maybe there'll be a complete curveball that I wasn't expecting to take it's place, as has happened for the past two years.

No doubt, doesn't mean they weren't a metal band at that point.

There's definitely something I'm not getting with that album, since for supposedly the best album ever, I'm really not feeling a whole lot about it...

A Love Supreme is the kind of album you have to meet with the right set of mind to get into it... It's more of a spiritual experience than just another jazz album. and, once you managed to "unlock" yourself to it, iIt's a terrific trip! I know it took me quite some time to come to that, that might very well be the case for you too.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor-Lift Your Skinny Fists like Antennas to Heaven

Everybody knows the first bit of Storm, even if they don't know they know it. And how good is that piano outro at the end of the song? This record has made me realize I like pianos, quite a bit in fact.

The sound quality for that record is so organic. I love it. The thing that always catches me off guard about that album is how much I love the way it sounds.
