Atreyu "Lead Sails Paper Anchor 2.0" (2008)
Selling out can sometimes lead to good things... On this album, Atreyu doesn't try to be a metal band anymore which lead to some excellent songs (the "glammy" Falling Down is my favourite). An uneven album, alright, but worth a try for those looking for melodic teenage metallized MTV pop oriented rock.

Oh, pur-lease. If you want a good pop-rock band that starts with the letter 'A', AFI and Alkaline Trio shit all over Atreyu.

AFI and Alkaline Trio doesn't sound like Atreyu and, you must know it Zad, I love Avenged Sevenfold...

Aw, none of those bands are really that bad, when compared to the all-encompassing dreadfulness of A7X.

Next you'll go completely over the top and tell me that you like Bullet For My Valentine and Bring Me The Horizon...

I never thought they were that bad to be honest, just ridiculously generic. Tragic haircuts, mind.

They were out of time and having some small guy who'd look intimidated by my nan going "LETS SEE SOME FUCKING MOOOOSH PIIITS" just angered me.

I suppose I was expecting Between The Buried And Me fronted by the man in my avatar, from the Terrorizer review I read. It's a lot less "riffier" than BTBAM, and not as epic. Still quite good though.

Something about their style just rubs me the wrong way. I can't put my finger on it.

I think they've got potential to be awesome, but they silmantaneously have to tighten up their songs and become proggier, if that makes sense. Plus their singer isn't quite good enough to sing the way he wants to.

STUFFING CORPSES
FULL OF SHIT AND FAITH
THEY BLOVIATE ABOUT A FUTURE BEYOND OUR MOON
TO BRING ABOUT ANOTHER PLANET'S DOOM
TO DISCOVER PEACEFUL LIFE
AND BEAT THE WAR DRUM TO ITS TUNE
UNLESS MY PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED
AND OUR END IS COMING SOON

Les Rallizes Denudes-'77 Live

Japanese noise rock at absolutely must be played at absolutely ear-destroying volume.

The God Machine "Scenes From The Second Storey" (1993)
What a powerful group. Hypnotic, sad, angry, confused. The emotions are all over the place and the playing is top notch. A classic review would be more than welcome!
