np: Tool - Bottom (Live) "Sober (Tales From The Darkside)"

great live recording of some of their earlier material \m/

where did you find that?

Soulseek... I think it was originally given away free if you bought a copy of Undertow around the time of Undertow's release so I assume an actual copy of it would be pretty hard to find.

Ah. I'll have to download it.

Electric Masada - At the Mountains of Madness

Oh yeah. :) I've had this for awhile, and got the real thing on cd a couple weeks ago, but I'm just now finally getting a chance to listen to it in all its glory. Eternal thanks to Misha for mentioning this project in one of the jazz threads awhile back. :dio:

Dir en Grey -- Deity

Macabre has some of the most absolutely nifty packaging I've seen yet. The jewel case is printed with all this cool aztec designs, the booklet is thicker than Kènôse's 40-page booklet, and there are beads in space between the cover and the side thingy... dunno what to call it, but beads! For God's sake, beads!

And the song itself is all nifty and aztec-like.

Tee hee, I have a Dir en Grey shirt, don't tell anyone.

If there's one thing that bothers me about DeG, it's that a lot of their fans are total douches (not saying the girl you had a crush on was a douche, btw). Total anime dorks and Hot Topic kids, the whole stinkin' lot of them, but hell, I love Dir en Grey anyway.

Thank God that over here Dir En Grey are completely unknown so they have no douchebag fans. And we don't have Hot Topic.

Dir En Grey are basically unknown here so they basically just attract Hot Topic (we dont actually have a hot topic) looking kids who are obsessed with anything japanese ;\

I need to listen to moar Bjork.

Sublime - Sublime

good album, Sublime are a really underrated band (an exception to the "die early, become super-overrated rule I guess). Their s/t is a little too polished though.

Aphex Twin - Drukqs

The perfect late-night easy listening.

Yep, she's growing on me.

And as a side note, one of my friends said that when he first saw me, he thought of the Sublime song Date Rape. :(

Johnny Cash-Hurt

It's difficult to say whether I prefer this to NIN's version or not.

Cash's version ends rather abruptly, which I find weird.

He knew his time was limited when he recorded his version. I think the abrupt end to the song is a metaphor for what he knew was coming.

That thought had crossed my mind.
