Black Metal corpsepaint is bold, proud, the sign of true darkness, and often quite creepy to boot. Those prats' 'we got some paint tipped over us' look is far from the majesty of Black Metal.

Atmosphere. Gaahl drinks your blood and steals your male sons for nefarious purposes. Mudvayne, at best, shake up bottles of Fanta and spray them over you like a second-rate Bloodhound Gang. Atmosphere in music is everything.

So you say that you can't compare Lacuna Coil and The Gathering, but it's perfectly acceptable to compare Gorgoroth and Mudvayne?

Oh come on, you don't look at Mudvayne and think '...fucking hell, guys!' It's one thing to share a vocalist's gender, it's another to take corpsepaint and turn it into some mentalist goth-paint-accident silliness that 13 year old Nu Metal fans will take as r3al tru3 kvltness.

Of course I think Mudvayne's facepaint is ridiculous. And who the hell said they "took corpsepaint" and "turned it into" anything?

That's my last word on the subject because this conversation is absolutely ridiculous and has no bearing over the quality of L.D. 50.

I'm still not sure if you really are planning to review L.D. 50, but I honestly hope not. Rating a fucking Limp Bizkit album higher than the best, most progressive-minded Nu Metal album out there is pretty damn stupid.

EDIT: I forgot about Deftones. The worst of the Deftones is still miles ahead of the best of Limp Bizkit.
