How many cd's do you have by now, Zad?.. seems as if u buy 30-40 cds a month :D

Looooads. They're starting to pile up; am going to have to invest in one of those floor-to-wall storage things.

Hopefully this coming month I'll slow the buying right down and listen to the ones I've missed so far. Might even manage to review some...

How do you find time to listen to them all? o_o

I tend to walk to places rather than go by bus or car, so there's always time here and there. I just take them one by one, really...

I always listen to black metal when I'm walking. Makes me go faster.

I find brutal death works well, especially Suffocation or Cryptopsy.

I have no idea why, but those two sentences really make me want to listen to Darkthrone.

he he ... me too :D

i believe it's because i immediately got associations it with another guy on a forum who once wrote he listened to Darkthrone while skiing in cold mountains or something like that. Plus, Darkthrone was the first black metal bands i heard while walking to a (pre)friend on a cold winters night once. hmm.. I get crazy associations in generel. This was one of the more reasonable associations.

Carla Bozulich - Red Headed Stranger
REM - Up
REM - Reveal

The latter band clicked the other day for me after being a closed book for a looong, long time. The CB is less weird (so far, at least) than the one Misha reviewed, more country - Willie Nelson's on it!

I have been buying a few albums from "other borderline genres" recently.

Fela Kuti- Expensive Shit/He Miss Road
Oneness of Juju- Space Jungle Luv
Gilad Atzmon presents... Artie Fishel and the Promised Band
Rush- Snakes & Arrows
John Cale- Circus Live
Dropkick Murphys- the new one, whatever it's called

I also got Rabies Caste- Let the Soul out and Cut the Vein, which is kind of grind, but also a bit sucky thus far.
