I found that I liked Painter's Palette more immediately than RePhormula, because it just seemed to have more novelty value. But yeah, once you get familiar with both RePhormula is the better constructed record. I listen to PNTK sometimes, but it doesn't really grab me like the other two did... I think touring with TDEP may have rubbed off on them a little too much, perhaps.

Agreed. I wish we could convince the bands of the world that DEP doesn't exist, and then maybe they would quit trying to rip them off.
PNtK doesn't have anything more in common with DEP than PP did... Both albums probably wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Calculating Infinity's inspiration, but they didn't start embracing them any more on pntk...

I don't think that's true at all... I can't see how you would think it about PP. It's true to say that PNTK would have sounded totally different if they hadn't been listening to TDEP. There are a whole load of tech-core influences that were never there on PP.

weird, i don't hear any... to me the main differences are longer and more fucked up isntrumental sections + less definite 'songs' + no clean vocals on PNtk. Either way they didn't turn into Psyopus

Holy shit, I just learnt that:-
1) "Phormula" was made by a duo...
2)..and contains only programmed drums. Impressive, it sounds as if they've got a real one.

What a band. RePhormula gets played every day, and I hear new things each time.
