I ended up playing Head Hunters seven times in a row, so I should probably go buy it in some form.

np: Tool - Aenima

I guess I still fall for this pseudo-intellectual yet still popular stuff - I love Radiohead and The Mars Volta so I suppose the only thing stopping me from becoming the most annoying muso on the planet is that I temper it with metal.

I prefer Lateralus to this though. *brandishes axe*

I did some DEEP RESEARCHINGS into Scorn and the guy behind it all is Mick Harris, he was in Napalm Death at a relatively early stage, probably before they'd progressed past "graw raw raw, graw raw roooooargh, thudathudathudathudathuda" and acquired the death sound I actually associate with them..

Scorn itself is very ambient, usually with just a trip-hop beat or whatever. it's nice but not exactly radical

anyway, np: Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn 8)

Do you know Alas No Axis? Seems like this would be your kind of thing... Jazz/Post Rock fusion led by the very impressive Jim Black on drums. They're a pretty big band on the US jazz scene. Can't find any good links unfortunately.
