I'll buy that for my Birthday!

Looks like you've been busy again with Gire. What an excellent song this is! My compliments, it's almost better than Neath Waters, I love the violin work in the second half!

Man this song is fucking awesome! Totally awesome. But nothing beats Neath Waters, the best song ever.

Hey guys, I am happy to tell you that Erika Szobája became the album of the month in the October issue of Orkus Magazine. To tell the truth I am not too much into this scene, but it's still a nice thing for me. Especially that there will be an interview in the November issue.
Oh, and another one:
Here's the brand new video from Gire, my other band beside Thy Catafalque and my solo stuff. I've done it, starring my grandma :)

congratulations with the "album of the month" awardthingy!
well.. you are da best i've heard from that scene, so you better make some more of it :D

Saw the Gire video earlier this day, very nice, and your grandma is a cool feature - i take it she's the girl in the old pictures?! My hungarian is a bit "rusty", could u tell what the lyrics are about? :) I see a boy in the ground giving life to tree or something, are the lyrics about forefathers giving life to next generations or something like that? I could have come up with other enterpretations, but since they probably are all wrong due to the fact i don't understand hungarian, or would take too long to explain, i would rather have u told me :D

btw, where can one buy those Gire albums?

Well, yes, she's the older girl. The younger is her sister, the boy is her brother. It's an old photograph still lying on my table. The photo was taken around 1938. By now only the little girl is alive.

Yet the song is not directly about them. I try to translate it into English... It's a raw translation, the Hungarian one has rhythm and rhymes.

Run of the deer

The blueness of well-water,
the foot of the wood
have robbed the colour of your eyes,
have kept the colour of your hair.

As the sunlight runs among your fingers
As Summer dances in your flesh
I will never see you again that way in my garden
Yet I'll leave there a lantern and rose-hip tea
For when the day shall came for the soul to walk alone
You may sit down there below the stars
And a silver spoon in your hand will symbolize
Alone
How all shall remain
In the ashes of his own fire.

As the sunlight runs among your fingers
As Summer dances in your flesh
I will never see you again that way in my garden
Yet I'll leave there a lantern and rose-hip tea
For the day shall come for the soul to walk alone
You'll lie below the stars
A dream of red leaves falls down:

The deers shall return
Running through death
The deers shall return
Through this sleeping world.

Something like this. In my interpretation this song is about the evanescence of all things and the power of memories. If I may simplify this text this way. The deers symbolize the memories of important and unimportant things passing away. The deers are the past living in our running into our present sometimes. They are equivalent to that old photo of my relatives.

I guess we won't have a strong distribution as only 400 copies will be printed. So you won't get the CD in any shops outside Hungary but if you would like one, just e-mail me!
The CDs are in the Czech Republic now anyway, at the factory. We'll have a release gig on the 17th of October and I've started to get excited a little bit because of their terrible slowliness. They are doing it for a month...

Yes, it's still the same but it hasn't been released in 2006, just a week ago. Yet you can order it from the address mentioned above. Perhaps they haven't received our pack but it's a question of little time I guess.

ah.. i believe i have seen most of your pictures. There's alot of great and awsome pictures, artistic, i mean... i really like many of them.
I'd like to make such pictures myself one day, but my shitty camera takes crappy pictures, have crappy light setting - not very rich colors etc. Are u using a camera only or are u using photo editing programs too on some of the pictures?.. and what camera are u using?.. if i may ask :)
